Bandhavgarh National Park in Madhya Pradesh is characterised by forested hills, meadows and the prominent plateau of Bandhavgarh Fort. The reserve is particularly associated with Bengal tiger, although every safari remains unpredictable.
Tracking wildlife
Jeep safaris with trained naturalists search for tiger alongside deer, langur, birds and other wildlife. Understanding tracks, alarm calls and habitat is part of the experience rather than simply waiting for a sighting.
Central India safari
Bandhavgarh combines well with other wildlife reserves for travellers prepared to travel overland or by light aircraft and road. Multiple drives give a far richer sense of the forest than a single visit.
