Cochin retains the WordPress title used by this collection and refers to Kochi in Kerala. Fort Kochi and Mattancherry contain an unusually rich concentration of maritime history shaped by centuries of trade.
Harbour heritage
Churches, historic streets, the synagogue district and waterfront all reveal different layers of the city’s past. Private walks are particularly effective because much of Kochi’s character lies between major landmarks.

Kochi connects naturally with the backwaters, Munnar and the Malabar coast. Its contemporary art and restaurant scenes also make it worth more than a simple arrival night.
