Freycinet National Park

Freycinet is Tasmania’s east-coast showcase of pink granite mountains, clear bays and white beaches, with Wineglass Bay at the heart of a superb walking landscape.

The Freycinet Peninsula projects into the Tasman Sea beneath the granite peaks of the Hazards. Beaches, sheltered bays and dry coastal forest create a brighter, more open landscape than Tasmania’s western wilderness.

Experiencing Freycinet National Park

Walk to Wineglass Bay viewpoints or continue onto longer trails, kayak sheltered water, cruise the coast and sample oysters and cool-climate wines nearby.

Planning your stay

Two or three nights allow weather and light to shape the experience. Freycinet combines naturally with Hobart, Maria Island and the east-coast route north towards Launceston.
