Hwange National Park

Hwange is Zimbabwe's largest national park, renowned for elephants, predators and vast seasonal concentrations of wildlife across woodland and grassland.

Hwange National Park protects an enormous area of western Zimbabwe and offers one of the country’s most complete safari experiences. Kalahari sands, teak woodland, open grassland and numerous waterholes support exceptional wildlife diversity.

Wildlife at scale

Hwange is particularly famous for elephants, especially in the dry season when animals gather around water sources. Lion, wild dog, buffalo and a wide range of antelope add to the quality of game viewing.

Choosing your Hwange experience

Different concessions and park sectors have their own character, so camp location matters. Private areas can add walking and night activities, while Hwange combines easily with Victoria Falls.
