Matoba National Park retains the WordPress title used by this collection and refers to Matobo National Park in south-western Zimbabwe. Granite kopjes and huge balancing boulders create one of the country’s most recognisable landscapes.
Rock, history and wildlife
The Matobo Hills contain an exceptional concentration of San rock art and places of deep spiritual importance. The park also supports wildlife including rhino, with specialist tracking experiences available in the wider area.
Why include Matobo?
Matobo offers something quite different from a conventional safari. Landscape, archaeology, culture and wildlife overlap here, making it a strong addition to journeys through Hwange, Victoria Falls and southern Zimbabwe.
