Port Fairy

Port Fairy is a beautifully preserved coastal town at the western end of Victoria’s Great Ocean Road, known for historic streets, beaches, wildlife and an easy village atmosphere.

Port Fairy grew as a 19th-century port and retains an unusually coherent collection of historic buildings around the Moyne River. The Southern Ocean and broad beaches sit moments away.

Experiencing Port Fairy

Walk the river and Griffiths Island, look for birdlife and wallabies, enjoy excellent local food and use the town as a quieter base for the western Great Ocean Road.

Planning your stay

An overnight stay provides a civilised conclusion to the coastal drive and can be combined with the Grampians before returning to Melbourne.
