Chief’s Camp occupies one of the Okavango Delta’s most coveted safari locations: Chief’s Island within Moremi Game Reserve. The camp

Accommodation
Chief’s Camp has ten large Bush Pavilions, each approximately 140 sq m. The pavilions are air-conditioned and include generous bathrooms with baths and indoor and outdoor showers.
Each opens onto a private deck with its own plunge pool, giving guests substantial private space between safari activities.
For families or friends wanting greater privacy, the two-bedroom Geoffrey Kent Suite is a significantly larger exclusive-use option with its own lounge, kitchen, outdoor dining areas and boma. Dedicated staff and a private safari vehicle and guide form part of that experience.
Safari experiences
Game drives explore the wildlife-rich landscapes of Moremi around Chief’s Island. The area supports a broad range of plains game and predators, and the changing relationship between floodwater and dry land makes it interesting throughout the year.
Seasonal mokoro excursions offer a quieter contrast when water conditions allow, moving through the channels in traditional-style canoes.
Scenic helicopter flights can also be arranged for guests wanting to understand the scale and structure of the Delta from above.
Families
Children from six years old are welcomed. The camp’s generous accommodation and dedicated children’s facilities make it more practical for families than many smaller safari camps.
The Geoffrey Kent Suite is particularly attractive for a family or small group seeking privacy, flexibility and their own safari arrangements.

Chief’s Camp makes sense for travellers who want the wildlife credentials of Moremi with substantially more personal space and comfort than a traditional tented camp. The private plunge pools and large pavilions are appealing, but Chief’s Island remains the real star.
