Villa Dubrovnik occupies a pine-covered slope east of Dubrovnik’s Old Town, with direct Adriatic views towards Lokrum and the medieval walls. The hotel emerged from a 1960s modernist building and has been comprehensively redesigned, most recently with interiors by Studio Arthur Casas that use Croatian stone, pale woods and carefully selected furniture.
Accommodation
Accommodation includes sea-view rooms, a collection of suites and larger residences. Many have balconies or terraces; Comfort Rooms add outdoor Jacuzzis, while suites such as Romantiko and Amor provide separate living space and large terraces. Villa Kolin is the most private residence, set apart from the main hotel with three bedrooms and its own outdoor areas.
Dining, wellness and time at the property
The hotel has two restaurants and two bars, with Mediterranean cooking focused on local ingredients and Croatian wines. The spa uses Mediterranean-inspired treatments, and guests also have access to pool, beach, fitness and private transfer services. The location allows the Old Town to be reached easily while keeping the hotel itself removed from the busiest streets.
Dubrovnik without the crowds
Early morning and evening are the best times to experience the Old Town in high season. Staying outside the walls makes it easier to retreat during the busiest middle of the day, returning later when the streets begin to empty.
How it fits into a Private Hideaway Escapes itinerary
We would usually suggest three nights in Dubrovnik, adding more if clients want boat days around the Elaphiti Islands or a slower finish to a Croatia itinerary. Villa Dubrovnik is particularly well suited to couples who value design, sea views and quiet terraces, but the larger residences also make it viable for families.
