Classic Mara safari in a private conservancy
Kicheche Mara Camp, now presented as Kicheche Mara North, lies above a stream in the Mara North Conservancy. Wildlife moves freely through the unfenced landscape and the camp’s position allows guests to begin game viewing almost immediately after leaving their tent.
Accommodation
The camp has nine standard tents and one family suite. Tents have en-suite bathrooms with hot and cold showers, flushing toilets, solar power, charging points and Wi-Fi. The family suite links two en-suite bedrooms through a private lounge, creating a particularly comfortable arrangement for parents and children.
Mara North Conservancy
Mara North protects roughly 73,000 acres adjoining the Masai Mara National Reserve. The conservancy supports excellent resident wildlife throughout the year and can also receive movements associated with the wider migration ecosystem.
Controlled tourism numbers and private-conservancy rules are a major advantage, particularly for guests who dislike clusters of vehicles around sightings.
Activities
Game drives are the main event, supported by guided walks, community experiences, beading, optional wild camping and hot-air balloon safaris. The camp also has a spa tent for massage and beauty treatments between activities.

Why we like it
This is a strong all-round Mara camp: intimate enough to feel personal, serious about guiding and conservation, but comfortable enough that downtime never feels like roughing it.
